 Exciting Changes are Coming!

We are making some new and exciting changes here at the PENC office. New look, same mission! Professional Educators of North Carolina is a professional organization that serves as THE voice for educators in policy-making, the forum for developing professional relationships and the advocate for improving the learning environment for every educator and student.

We are updating our website and database to provide a better user experience for our members. In addition, we are launching new incentives as well as switching over to an anniversary date membership setup! What does this mean for you? Your membership will now last 12 months from the day you sign up or renew your membership – extending your member benefits for a full year. In the coming weeks, we will email all PENC members instructions on how to login to your new account, how to update your payment information, and how to navigate your new profile. You do not need to do anything yet, simply be on the lookout for our next email with more details. As always, we are here to answer any questions you may have.

Young Artist Competition—DEADLINE APPROACHING!

PENC (Professional Educators of North Carolina) is currently accepting electronic entries for its 9th annual Young Artists Competition. The goal of this project is to highlight the hard work of North Carolina’s teachers and their students.

Six works of art will be selected as the winning entries by a PENC panel of judges. The pieces will be duplicated for display in our Raleigh office, on the PENC website and may be used in future publications. The six winning entrants will receive an award of $50.00 and a certificate of achievement from PENC. The teachers will be presented with a certificate, gift bag and gift certificate for art supplies at the fall 2019 Executive Board Meeting. PENC is looking forward to the beautiful work from all around our great state.

The Young Artists Competition is open to all North Carolina Educators and from all disciplines. For more information, submission guidelines, etc. please visit Deadline for submissions is 5 pm Friday, June 1, 2019.
